  2. Liver, Spleen, Pancreas Diaphragm
  3. Bleeding and Vascular Injury
  4. Ureteric Injuries
  5. Lab Briefing and Porcine Anatomy (Online Preview)
  6. Surgical Complications – Mindset Management and Systems Change

Hands-on training - Wet lab laparoscopic procedures (live pigs)

  • Management of renal artery/vein
  • Management of IVC injury
  • Management of bowl injury
  • Management of liver/spleen injury
  • Management of external iliac artery/vein injury

Video Review – (each edited video max. 3 mins)

  • To demonstrate a complication for discussion of prevention / management
  • Trainees and faculties presentation and discussion

Before the course:

  • All selected trainees should submit a max. 3 mins edited video clip at least 2 weeks prior to the course.
  • The video clip can feature laparoscopic or robotic surgery, focusing specifically on the aspect you wish to discuss for improvement or highlighting challenges you may be encountering during your operations.

Successful applicants will be notified before the commerce of the course upon review by the course director and coordinators.

Expenses covered by AUSTEG:
